Accelerated Resolution Therapy
Accelerated Resolution Therapy is the current modality I use when enaging in trauma treatment with Veteran, CAF and RCMP members. ART combines the eye movements used in EMDR, with Gestalt techniques, metaphors and a solution-focus emphasis. I find that ART is more effective then other treatments for PTSD, such as EMDR, as treatment is typically shorter in duration and ART also provides reduced symptoms at the end of each session making it easier to engage in.
